A main attraction of Stone Harbor is its multitude of shopping options. The center of town stretches along 96th street. Here you can find a large variety of shops, restaurants, coffee shops and even a movie theater! However, much like the rest of the Jersey Shore, Stone Harbor has some of the most popular shore activities include biking, swimming, surfing, water sports, and walking on the beach. All of these make Stone Harbor an excellent family vacation spot!

One of the most prominent features in Stone Harbor, which is hard to miss, is the Stone Harbor Water Tower pumping station, built in 1924. It is the oldest municipal building still in use in Stone Harbor. The tower stands 132 feet high and can be seen from nearly everywhere on the island. It holds approximately 500,000 gallons of water and is supplied by four individual fresh water wells 890 feet deep that tap the Kirkwood Aquifer.
